Siak weaving is a heritage of the Siak Sri Indrapura Sultanate. Each motif carries a piece of Malay wisdom: to be useful throughout life, responsible, courteous, honest and hopeful.
In Malay tradition, yellow is often linked to royal grandeur, red to courage, and green to fertility and faith. These three colours guide the design of this site.
The pointed tip of a young bamboo shoot. It stands for fertility and patience.
A motif drawn from the elbow of the fruit bat (keluang). One of the most ordered animal motifs.
Small star flowers scattered across the cloth, from the plant and star motifs of Siak weaving.
Every cloth here is woven by Siak artisans. No factory production.
Threads are set and woven by hand. One cloth takes days to weeks.
Your cloth is woven after you order and pay. There is no warehouse stock, so every piece feels personal.
